Spring Break....ahhhhh!

I got off the hamster wheel Thursday night after my last parent - teacher conference. Immediately the head cold symptoms kicked in and I wasn't surprised. Happens every time! It is just a cold though and though I felt awful yesterday, I think I might live.

What do I have planned for these glorious days away from the classroom? Well, I don't really have anything planned. That is a good thing I think. I need to clean. I want to plant something and work in the yard. I will go in to work for one day and grade and lesson plan. We always stay home for spring break.

I can't believe last year we got these critters!

So, no big plans,  but..... YIPPEE!!! IT'S SPRING BREAK!!!!

I needed a little Sunshine

Cathryn at Chile Cats knew exactly what I needed! Thank you! She told me this award was for blogs that brighten her day. Her blog really brightens my day. I am a cat lover and adore how she has opened her heart and home to so many feline friends. Visit her! She beads too!

I am passing this award on to those blogs that bright my day. These are blogs I visit daily, enjoy the content, the photos, and genuinely care about what is going on with these writers.

Four Dog Day
The Corgi Chronicles
The Daily Corgi
(I see a pattern here...)
Pickles on Pizza
Look at my Happy Rainbow

Thank you Cathryn! And thanks to all the bloggers who brighten my day!

We can 'splain!

She has been busy. ...and tired.

We said we'd step in and blog for her. But she said "no!"

We said we were already famous and people love reading about us. She threatened to crate us.

It all started with a terrible tummy bug. I think Chloe slipped her something.

I did not!

After the tummy bug she said her students were taking her down. We don't know what that means so just enjoy a good shot of Zoe-Zoe's pants.

She promises to be back soon. She said she didn't trust us to blog for her with out fighting.

January snowstorm

I know the east is socked in with snow this weekend. And we are supposed to get another dumping on Monday. It's all around us...

I decided I had better get my latest snow storm pictures up before I take more.

Before the snow came last week, we got ice. It made great swords.

My girls never played with dolls. They loved beanie babies and webkins. Naturally they would make a snow-corgi instead of a snowman.

This phenomenon is similar to diurnal ice. Amazing!

Oh, one last thing ~ Chloe is the Daily Corgi's Saturday Smiler

Zoe has been pouting all day.

Autographs later...

Chloe and Zoe have made the Daily Corgi again. They are beginning to make unreasonable requests. They want feather pillows in their crates, just blue M&Ms in their playpen food dish, and new collars with a little bling on them. What's next? Tiaras?

Dreams of Summer

Kathy over at Four Dog Day has been experiencing a lot of winter too. Her post this morning got me thinking about our summer plans and summer in general. As a teacher, I am blessed with oodles of time off in the summer. I love that.

Last year we took the big road trip. It cost a lot and took a lot of time. This year we won't take a big trip.

We have talked about camping. There are so many wonderful places to camp in Oklahoma. If any of you Okie bloggers have recommendations for places to camp, let me hear them.

Mostly, we don't plan to go much further than our own back yard.

Right now this...

Seems such a long way from this.

The Aftermath...

The ice storm is over, but the snow continues.

We have a few inches and it is lovely and peaceful.

Older daughter was supposed to audition Saturday for a summer arts camp, but it was canceled. It will get rescheduled. Another snow day.

Cabin fever will set in soon.
